  • Emma Sköld

    Female

    A young, good-looking, ambitious and career-minded detective inspector, first in Nacka, then in the county CID. Her father, Evert, had been the head of the county police, author Sofie Sarenbrant tells us. Emma Sköld has a daughter, Ines, together with her partner, Kristoffer. When Emma is badly injured in an inexplicable riding accident, and is in a coma for several months, it turns out that somebody wants to take over her life.

  • Molly Cates

    Female

    A competent professional middle-aged investigative crime journalist, single mother and author. Molly Cates is primarily driven by a strong passion for justice. She works hard at her job, and even though she is attractive and men like her, all of her relationships have quickly broken up. One reason for this – according to author Mary Willis Walker – is that Cates is convinced that her father has been murdered.

  • Henry Merrivale

    Male

    Sir Henry Merrivale is one of the most entertaining, arrogant and easily aroused figures in the world of crime fiction. He has a high position in the British security services and drives government bureaucrats crazy. In addition, he solves a whole row of so-called impossible crimes in stories by Carter Dickson, a pseudonym for John Dickson Carr. Merrivale has a large family, and in physical appearance resembles Winston Churchill.

  • Oliver Stone

    Male

    He is actually called John Carr, and was once the most feared security agent in the USA. After he killed the men who murdered his wife, he became the most hunted man in the USA, went underground and changed his name, says David Baldacci. Now the tall and slim Oliver Stone is old and has greyish-white hair, but is also the leader of the secret private organisation the Camel Club which combats primarily political crimes.
