Female
Beautiful and well-educated lawyer – who first works in a law firm and later becomes a public prosecutor – who has a central role in all of Åsa Larsson’s crime stories. In the first books, Rebecka Martinsson is living in Stockholm, but her work takes her to Kiruna, where she grew up, and she later moves back there. She has quite a lot of problems at work as well as in her private life, but is supported by friends, including the police officer Anna-Maria Mella.

He was a popular person, respected as a forensic psychologist and regarded as Sweden’s foremost expert on criminal profiling – until he lost his wife and daughter in a natural catastrophe. Then he stopped working, became a sex-addict and generally inaccessible. Bo Jarnebring

Inspector Jarnebring is from Dalarna county in Sweden, but he works in Stockholm. He is a former elite athlete. Jarnebring is divorced from his former wife Annika. They have two sons. He was introduced in Leif G. W. Persson’s "Grisfesten" and has subsequently had a number of more or less prominent roles in Persson’s novels. Jarnebring likes to work with his best friend Lars Martin Johansson.
