When Kim Småge introduced her in a novella her first name was spelt Annekin. Halvorsen is a police sergeant in Trondheim. She is obstinate, persistent and temperamental, which means that she often ends up in dangerous situations. She likes to listen to blues on her high-end sound system or go swimming in the Trondheim Fiord when she has time off.

Ewert Grens

Middle-aged detective chief inspector in Stockholm, ordinary-looking, with thinning hair and a wrinkled face. He suffers from a severe trauma: his wife Anni suffered severe brain damage in an accident that he caused. Now Ewert Grens visits her every day in the care home. His only consolation is the songs sung by Siw Malmkvist, and he is always listening to them in the novels by Anders Roslund – the early novels were written together with Börge Hellström.

Avi (Avraham) Avraham

But author Dror Mishani describes the short, everyday detective Avraham Avraham in Holon – a suburb of Tel Aviv – as stubborn, and that means he gets results. The two are each other’s opposites, for better or worse. The somewhat younger, extrovert and impulsive Frølich is especially interested in women which often lands him in embarrassing situations in his private life as well as in his work.
