    Lindell is a detective inspector in Uppsala, Sweden, and the protagonist in a series of much acclaimed novels by Kjell Eriksson. In the first book she has a relationship with a farmer, Edward Risberg. Following their reluctant separation, Lindell has a somewhat chaotic private life at the same time as she is highly efficient, creative and popular at work.

  • Max Wolfe

    Male

    Police detective in London, and, according to author Tony Parsons, a very ordinary man with a very ordinary appearance. He is, however, a stubborn and skilful police officer who is hard on the outside and soft on the inside. He is around 30 years old, and his family in the flat in Smithfield consists of his little daughter and a dog. He has sleeping problems and is still in love with his ex-wife. And he is a good boxer…

  • Petra Connor

    Female

    She is beautiful, slim, with black hair and black eyes – and is a tough and good murder investigator. Connor is employed by the Los Angeles homicide squad, and she cooperates with author Jonathan Kellerman’s main character Alex Delaware in several of his cases. She is herself also the main character in two novels. But she has a background she doesn’t like to talk about, and her private life is pretty messy, to put it mildly.

  • Dave Robicheaux

    Male

    After having been a soldier in Vietnam and a detective in New Orleans, he struggled for many years with his addiction to alcohol. He managed it, and became a boat renter and a private detective in Louisiana. Time after time, he is caught up in murder cases, described in a long row of novels by James Lee Burke. The middle-aged Dave Robicheaux has married three times: his first wife was murdered, the second died from tuberculosis.
