Anastasia Kamenskaya

The young, later middle-aged, Anastasia Kamenskaya is an analyst and investigator for the Moscow Police Department. She is linguistically gifted and beautiful, but is careless about her appearance and how she dresses. Her kind live-in partner (later her husband) looks after their home and accepts that she is often too tired for sex. She is also the main character in a long suite of novels by Alexandra Marinina (pseudonym for Marina Anatolyevna Alekseyeva).

Robbie (Robert) Lewis
Male
A jolly, patient and methodical detective sergeant in Oxford, who is the right hand and faithful companion of the somewhat gruffy Chief Inspector Morse in the crime novels by Colin Dexter. Lewis’ first name is rarely mentioned in the books, and in the TV series he is called Robbie. In the novels, he is happily married to Valerie and they have two children; in the later TV series, in which he is the main character, he is an older widower.

He is a detective sergeant in Northumberland, married and with a daughter Jessie. He is a self-willed detective in the police force of his birth city Istanbul, which he loves with all his heart. Together the couple have a lot of children and the number steadily grows in Barbara Nadel’s books about him.
