But he refused to leave the slum district in Washington where the family lives and where he does charity work; but he did exchange his Porsche for a Mercedes. He is athletically built, has a PhD in Psychology and is the main character in a suite of police novels by James Patterson.

Knut Gribb
Male
Scandinavia’s busiest detective: he has solved cases in more than 1,500 stories! He was created by Stein Riverton (pseudonym for Sven Elvestad), but was taken over by a large number of other authors. Even Swedes, which is why the police officer from Oslo has also worked in Sweden. Riverton’s Knut Gribb stories were later published with the main character changed to Asbjørn Krag, which is why the two are like each other.

Agent 007 James Bond is exceptionally famous for being a secret agent. He works for the British Secret Service and is sent on missions all over the world. He has some expensive habits and is a womanizer, but his background is obscure. He was created by Ian Fleming, but several other authors have included him in their work; among them are Kingsley Amis, Jefferey Deaver and John Gardner.

Several television productions have been based on Colin Dexter’s Morse books. Morse is deeply human, but he is not without faults and is sometimes rude to his sergeant, Lewis, another important character. But he is an astute detective who solves crime in an academic setting.
