Vincent Ruiz has a history of 43 years as a police officer in London, three marriages and just as many divorces. He does, however, have good contact with his ex-wives as well as his children. And even though he is now retired, he still catches villains in Michael Robotham’s novels.

Salvo Montalbano

Commissario Montalbano, named by the author Andrea Camilleri for the Spanish crime writer Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, was born in Sicily, and he works in the fictional town of Vigàta there. He is short-tempered and stubborn, which causes a great deal of problems, but deep down he is a hardworking, energetic professional who is in a long-distance relationship with his fiancé, Livia Burlando.

Fleming Stone

He is most happy in his well-stocked library – that is where private detective Fleming Stone retires to when he ponders over a difficult case in the novels by Carolyn Wells. And there are a lot – more than 60. And he looks very ‘learned’ too, has an extremely good general education and is also silent, correct and friendly with a ‘sympathetic’ face. It is usually the police who come to him and ask for help.

She has a shady past involving a different identity, which is yet to be revealed by the author, Sharon J. Bolton. Flint is a loner with a complex personality. She can at times feel afraid and abandoned at the same time as she is a brave and merciless woman … and she cannot be trusted.
