With her red hair and in good physical condition, Mario Kallio is a tough (and if necessary even harsh) feminist who appreciates a good whisky – in reasonable measures.

Fin Macleod is worn-out and sad, but in the so-called Lewis Trilogy by Peter May is involved in crime cases that he solves thanks to his knowledge of the island and its population.

When Kim Småge introduced her in a novella her first name was spelt Annekin. Halvorsen is a police sergeant in Trondheim. She is obstinate, persistent and temperamental, which means that she often ends up in dangerous situations. She likes to listen to blues on her high-end sound system or go swimming in the Trondheim Fiord when she has time off.

Now the tall and slim Oliver Stone is old and has greyish-white hair, but is also the leader of the secret private organisation the Camel Club which combats primarily political crimes.
