An American sci-fi and fantasy author, regarded as one of the foremost representatives for what is called the ‘new wave’ of the genre. A number of his stories, primarily the novellas/short novels, have been awarded prizes. Roger Zelazny was born and grew up in Euclid, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, and started his schooling 1949-52 at Shore Junior High School. He continued at Shore Senior High School 1952–55 and then at Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where he gained a B.A. degree in Psychology in 1959.
