Willard Huntington Wright was an American critic and editor. He was born in Virginia, attended Harvard and later studied art in Paris and Munich. He was employed as an art and literature critic at the Los Angeles Times and between 1912 and 1914 he edited Smart Set magazine, popular among the American jet set. He also wrote several seminal works on art, philosophy, literature and culture as well as one unremarkable novel entitled The Man of Promise (1916).
