Sigurðardóttir, Yrsa

The Icelandic author and civil engineer Yrsa Sigurðardóttir grew up in Reykjavik. She now lives in the suburb of Seltjarnarnes. She has two children born in the eighties and nineties with her husband, whom she has known since high school. After graduating from the University of Iceland (Háskóli Íslands) in 1988, Sigurðardóttir has worked as a civil engineer, apart from a period in the 1980s when she lived in Canada with her family. She went to the university there and graduated with a Master of Science from Concordia University in Montreal.
