Orczy, Emmuska

Baroness Emma Magdolna Rozália Mária Jozefa Borbála Orczy de Orczi, or Emmuska, which she preferred to be called, was born in Tarnaörs, Hungary. Her parents were Baron Félix Orczy de Orczi and Countess Emma Wass de Szentegyed et Cege. Both parents were descended from a prominent Austro-Hungarian noble family and related to many others. Félix Orczy was the son of a royal councillor and a well-known conductor and composer.
