He graduated from Livingston High School in 1980, and in 1984 he was awarded an MA in Political Science from Amherst College, Massachusetts, where he was also a prominent basketball player. After a while, Charlie Peace settles in the village of Slepton Edge in Yorkshire together with his quintessentially English wife, author Felicity, and their daughter Carola, and gets a job with the police in Leeds.
